I agree Bennett. It only got taken away because of the oppresiveness, so that shows that it is oppresive. If no one forced it, it would be fine. I also agree that it isn't really taking away from their religion because that is just going over the top, it isn't forced by their religion.
But Sam, it also says "that they will be better recognized" so it can't be talking about the burqa because you can't recognize someone who is wearing a burqa. I agree that women should (if they want to) wear chadors or hijabs, but they shoulnd't be forced to wear burqas because it is not a religious tradition.
Not really. On that other video, they were talking about how just becuase you wear a burqa, doesn't mean you shouldn't personalize it. But they don't. They wear it as a uniform. It doesn't show their identity. It shows they are the same as other muslim women.
