Israel is actually mentioned in the Qu'ran as Palestine but they use the phrase "holy land" in order to show it. Look at what I found in this online Qu'ran http://quran.com/search?q=palestine when I searched Palestine, and then when I searched the Holy Land's meaning it came up as, "The Holy Land (Hebrew: אֶרֶץ הַקוֹדֵשׁ Eretz HaQodesh, Arabic: الأرض المقدسة Al-Arḍ Al-Muqaddasah) is a term which in Judaism refers to the Land of Israel. Jews as well as non-Jews have traditionally referred to this area as "Palestine"

To support the fact that Jews left the land before the Palestinians lived there, BBC News says, "The Messianic idea of returning to their "promised land" had been a Puritan religious belief since the 16th century." Showing that they must have left before the Palestinians began living there again.

I think that the Palestinians deserve the land because the Israelis are being unfair. According to Human Rights Watch Organization they state, "In 2013 Israeli forces killed Palestinian civilians in the West Bank, most in circumstances that suggest the killings were unlawful." Showing that the Israelis are not trying to create peace over the land between them and the Palestinians. I also believe that the Palestinians should have the land because it is holy place to them as well. One of the Palestine-Israel Journal authors, Ziad Abu-Amr a professor of political science at Birzeit university explains, "The city (Jerusalem) has strong and evocative and emotional associations and has its own place in the hearts of Muslims. It is considered the third-holiest city in Islam after Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia. It derives its religious prominence from being the first Qibla, the initial direction toward which the prophet Muhammad and the early Muslim community turned their faces in prayer." Showing the Palestinians (part Muslim part Arab) have a strong religious connection to Israel like the Israelis. It would be unfair to make them leave a place that they respect so much. Which leads me to my third reason, Palestinians also deserve their own homeland. When they were given the land, they owned it for a short while and then were given the offer of letting the Jews share land with them they disagreed to the proposal. Yet they were not listened to and Jews still came to live in Palestinian land anyways because of the United Nations. Even Obama agrees after being reported by USA Today's Vanessa O'Brien and Michele Chabin, "It is not fair that a Palestinian child cannot grow up in a state of their own," he then adds on, "Palestinians have a right to be free people in their own land."
